Social Studies Teacher

My name is Debbie Darlington and to say I am excited about this school year would be an understatement. This year I begin my 30th year teaching 8th graders US/SC History, and I truly love it! It is my goal to motivate my students to become life-long, enthusiastic lovers of history. It is my desire to make history come alive and real for each of my students, leading them to become independent, informed, fact-finding citizens!

When I am not at Lakeside I enjoy spending time with my family. My husband Kevin and our son Seth, enjoy taking road trips exploring this beautiful country; we especially love the National Parks. We also love camping in the Low Country State Parks with our extended family.
