French Passports, French 3, and World Cultures

Bonjour ! I am Amelia Thomas and I am looking forward to joining both the LexOne and Lakeside Middle School team this year! I taught French at the secondary level for five years, and I am very excited for this new opportunity and to continue growing as an educator. I earned my B.A. in French and Francophone Students at College of Charleston and I am currently pursing my M.Ed. at Anderson University. After earning my B.A. I spent the summer in Paris working at a primary school, and I go back to visit any chance that I get! I recently traveled to Paris with a group of students and parents from my former school and it was wonderful to see the students grow as travelers and experience things in real time that we had discussed in class.

When I am not at school, I enjoy down time at home with my family, friends and dogs. Over school breaks, I enjoy traveling as much as I can and exploring new places and different cultures.

Everyone has been so welcoming at Lakeside, and I am thrilled to be a part of the World Language team.
