• Onward As One logo

Lexington County School District One continues to provide high-quality education while working to keep our students, staff and their families safe.

As we navigate another school year while dealing with COVID-19, we remain steadfast in our goal to move “Onward As One”.

This webpage serves as a communication hub where you can find COVID-19 related information. You can also review our Safe Return to In-Person School and Continuity of Services Plan here.

LEARNING, WORKING AND LIVING WITH COVID-19

Beginning March 1, 2022, Lexington District One will transition from quarantining to learning, working and living with COVID-19 with minimal disruptions.

Each week, we will monitor the numbers to see how many students plus staff are COVID-19 positive and symptomatic at each school. If that number remains less than 10% of the school’s overall student and staff population for two consecutive weeks, Test to Stay and quarantining of close contacts at that school will be suspended. Contact tracing, testing and masking of close contacts who are symptom-free will no longer be required, too.

This is school-based and not districtwide.

Every two weeks, we will reassess all schools.

Isolation requirements for those who have COVID-19 or are symptomatic did not change.

We are optimistic that these latest DHEC updates are another step towards normalcy for our schools and students. We encourage families to continue making healthy choices.
